Solution 02 of 08

See every vehicle, every zone, every trip — as it happens.

Real-time fleet monitoring, GPS tracking, and geofence-based operational control, with trip history you can put in front of a customer or an investigator.

The business problem

What this solves

Incidents surface days later — or never

Without live fleet data, dispatchers rely on driver calls and after-the-fact reports. Off-route and off-schedule events that should take minutes to catch instead take hours, or go unnoticed entirely.

Trucks in restricted zones without authorization

Insurance liability, customer site rules, and provincial regulations all depend on knowing where each truck is at every moment. Without geofencing, violations are invisible until enforcement or a claim surfaces them.

Trip reconstruction is manual, slow, and incomplete

When a customer disputes a delivery time, an accident needs investigation, or a driver's hours are questioned, fleets without trip history are left with paper logs and memory.

What it looks like on the ground

  • Dispatchers spending their day on where-is-the-truck phone calls
  • Unbilled or disputed deliveries with no evidence to resolve them
  • After-hours and personal vehicle use that never appears in any report
  • Liability exposure when an incident can't be reconstructed

How iQlynx solves it

Fleet Visibility & Tracking, connected

iQlynx puts the whole fleet on one live map — position, movement, and operational state — with geofences around the places that matter: customer sites, landfills, pits, restricted zones, and yards. Every trip is recorded and replayable, so disputes end with evidence instead of arguments.

Core capabilities

What it does

Live fleet monitoring

Position, movement, and operational state for every vehicle on one map.

Continuous GPS with street-level mapping

Accurate location context down to the street and site.

Trip history and playback

Reconstruct any vehicle's trip for any date — routes, stops, speeds, and events.

Asset status at a glance

Active, idle, stopped, and offline states across the fleet.

Speed monitoring

Configurable thresholds with alerting for over-speed events.

Geofencing with entry/exit alerts

Automatic notifications the moment a vehicle enters or leaves a defined zone.

Restricted-area monitoring

Reporting on operation inside zones where trucks shouldn't be.

Map editor

Define zones, parking, landfills, and collection areas on your own operational map.

Bin and route visualization

Map-based views of bins, routes, and coverage for collection operations.

Operational workflow

How it runs, day to day

  1. 1

    Track

Vehicles stream position and state continuously to the platform.

  2. 2

    Map

Zones, sites, and routes give raw location data operational meaning.

  3. 3

    Alert

Entry/exit, over-speed, and restricted-zone events reach the right people instantly.

  4. 4

    Replay

Any trip, any date — reconstructed on demand for disputes and investigations.

  5. 5

    Report

Utilization, violations, and coverage feed the reporting layer.

Integrations & data sources

Where the data comes from

  • Existing GPS and telematics devices (compatibility validated during the pilot)
  • iQlynx-supplied tracking hardware where needed
  • Geofence and zone definitions from your operational map
  • Dispatch schedules and route plans

Device and integration compatibility is validated during the pilot — see devices & sensors.

Value framework

Where the return comes from

Visibility pays for itself in dispatcher time, vehicle control, and dispute resolution. The exact impact depends on fleet size and how much of your day currently runs on phone calls.

Dispatch productivity

Cut time spent locating vehicles and calling drivers; handle more routes with the same team.

Unauthorized-use reduction

After-hours alerts and geofences make personal and unauthorized use visible — and rare.

Dispute resolution

Trip evidence resolves customer disputes quickly and recovers deliveries that would otherwise go unbilled.

Incident response

Off-route and off-schedule events caught in minutes, not discovered days later.

FAQ

Common questions

Can iQlynx use the GPS devices we already have?

In many cases, yes. iQlynx is built to ingest data from a range of existing GPS and telematics devices. We confirm compatibility for your specific hardware during the pilot rather than asking you to rip and replace on day one.

How current is “real time”?

Vehicles report continuously while in operation; positions and state updates appear on the live map within seconds under normal network conditions. Reporting frequency can be tuned to your operational needs.

Who can see vehicle locations?

Access is role-based. Dispatchers, supervisors, and managers each see what their role requires, and every access is auditable.

How long is trip history retained?

Retention is configurable to your operational and regulatory requirements, and is confirmed as part of implementation.
